This year's event covered multiple technologies such as machine vision, embedded system design, mechanical control, inertial navigation, and human-computer interaction. The theme of the event centered around simulating the explosive ordnance disposal tasks of military robots. It adopted the presentation mode of group competition + on-site host commentary. Lasting for four months and going through multiple rounds of screening like the preliminary and semi-final competitions, finally four teams entered the final. In the final, the Rong momo's Team, under the unfavorable situation of losing the first game, quickly adjusted their state and continuously defeated their opponents, winning the championship of this year's competition.

This Robotics Challenge encouraged students from different majors to participate and form teams in an interdisciplinary manner. Since its launch, a total of 100 teams signed up, with 373 participants. The participating students were from 15 majors across three campuses. The technical support for the event was provided by the professor teams of the college. They designed targeted training courses to help each team improve their levels and complete the competition.

Signing Ceremony of Teaching Practice Base

The Robotics Challenge is a beneficial exploration and active attempt by the college in cultivating talents with innovation and entrepreneurship abilities. It is also an important display of the achievements of the university's new engineering education. The event was named and sponsored by Shenzhen H&T Intelligent Control Co., Ltd., and sponsored by TÜV SÜD Greater China Guangzhou Branch. At the opening ceremony, the college signed a cooperation agreement on the teaching practice base with H&T Company.

The delegations of the sponsoring enterprises visited the scientific research laboratories of the college. Among them, TÜV SÜD held a symposium with the college to deeply discuss the work related to the integration of industry and education. The expert team of TÜV SÜD also brought an academic lecture on robot safety in the era of Industry 4.0 for the teachers and students.

The heads of the event's organizing units, including the Shien-ming Wu School of Intelligent Engineering, the Super Robot Research Institute (Huangpu), the Mingcheng Academy, and the relevant departments of the Guangzhou International Campus, attended the event. The event received extensive attention from many media such as the Yangcheng Evening News, Guangzhou TV Station, Guangzhou Daily, Southern Metropolis Daily, and Information Times.
