The continuous-fiber composite automated manufacturing system consists of an industrial robot, a fiber placement tool head and a 3D printing tool head. The system offers functionalities such as automated fiber placement (AFP)/ tape winding on 3D objects and continuous fiber additive manufacturing. The system is suitable for material and processing research on both thermoset and thermoplastic composite, customization of software and educational purposes.
