MTS 860 hybrid manufacturing system contains two main subsystems. One is a laser directed energy deposition machine, another one is a five-axis machining center. The system is configured with sealed gas control module, laser spot shaping module, two wavelength temperature melt pool monitoring module, MasterCAM and system control software. It can fabricate part with a variety of materials, including nickel alloy, ferrous alloy, titanium alloy and so on. The system is mainly used for complex part fabrication and repair in the field of aerospace, military industry and high-end mold.
