Personal profile  

Zhuang Huiping is Associate Professor, and PhD Supervisor. He obtained his PhD from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2022, and was awarded the Outstanding Overseas Student Prize by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He leads a subproject of the National Key R&D Program of China (2030) and NSFC projects, among others.

Specializing in Evolvable Intelligence (including Continual Learning and Embodied Intelligence), he has authored over 70 publications. He proposed 'Analytical Continual Learning,' pioneering a refined subfield in Evolvable Intelligence, which has seen over 10 publications in top conferences like NeurIPS and ICML in the past two years. His research has been recognized with two International Conference Best Paper Awards, one Best Student Paper Achievement Award from Singapore’s PREMIA Association, a Silver Prize in the 2025 CVPR Competition, and an invitation to deliver a keynote speech at an international conference. He has served in four academic roles (e.g., Co-Chair) for international/domestic conferences, acted as Guest Editor for the Journal of Franklin Institute (JCR Q1), and was named an Outstanding Reviewer at ICML 2022.

Our laboratory, the MIAA Lab (Machine Intelligence and Advanced Adaptation Lab), welcomes motivated students to apply. We also encourage undergraduate students from all grades to participate in laboratory research activities.
