In the morning of December 13th, the Academician Lecture Hall of the Advanced Institute of Soft Matter Science and Technology once again welcomed world-known guests.

On November 21st 2025, the Sino US Polymer Academic Salon was successfully held at South China University of Technology.

​Hosted by South China University of Technology (SCUT) and organized by the School of Emergent Soft Matter, the 6th International Symposium on Soft Matter Science and Engineering (SMSE 2025) was successfully held at the Guangzhou International Campus from May 17 to 19, 2025.

As a key platform supportingSCUT’s “Double First-Class” initiative, the School ofEmergent Soft Matter has achieved multiple internationally recognizedresults in recent years.

The theme of this symposium was Soft Matter Theory and Its Applications, aiming to explore the future directions of soft matter theoretical research and its impact on various technological fields, with a particular focus on the application of soft matter theory in computational simulation, material preparation, and industrial development.

From November 16 to 18, 2023, hosted by the School of Emergent Soft Matter, the 4th International Symposium for Soft Matter Science and Technology was held at Guangzhou International Campus of South China University of Technology.
