2026-06-25

On June 25th, the School of Emergent Soft Matter hosted the achievement presentation of “2026 Frontier Materials and Intelligent Manufacturing of Soft Matter” at GZIC. Ten groups of first-year students from the Class of 2025 presented their findings in English on topics ranging from nanomaterial synthesis to molecular dynamics simulations.

After evaluation by the professors, the top prize went to the third group, consisting Tiancheng Yan, Yuening Gao, Xinxuan Li and Lingxin Kong, for their project on “CsPbX3 Perovskite Quantum Dots: Synthesis, Optical Characterization & Mechanistic Analysis”, under the supervision of Professor Zhilong Zhang. Other awards included two second prizes, three third prizes, and four honorable mentions.

Party Secretary Wang praised the students for their impressive presentations, noting that English presentation aimed at improve both language skills and teamwork. He encouraged students to focus on the learning experience and the value of presentation practice.

The presentation served as both a milestone for the course and a vivid demonstration of the School’s commitment to nurturing talent in soft matter. These first-year students showed their remarkable growth over the past academic year!
