Biography

  • Jianxin Wang is a Professor at the School of Emergent Soft Matter, South China University of Technology. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2015, followed by his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Beijing Normal University in 2020. Subsequently, he pursued research at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), serving first as a Postdoctoral Fellow and later as a Research Scientist. Since January 2026, he has held the position of Professor at South China University of Technology. His primary research focus lies in the design, development and application of optical materials. He has authored and co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed papers published in prestigious journals including Nature Photonics, Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS), Chem, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, CCS Chemistry and Matter.


Research Interests

  • Professor Wangs research interests include: 

    1. Design and performance investigation of functional luminescent materials, including but not limited to organic luminescent materials, MOFs, COFs, and perovskites.
    2. Design and application of efficient energy transfer systems.
    3. Development of high-performance X-ray detection systems.
    4. Construction of high-efficiency optical wireless data transmission systems.
