Recently, the 4th China Postgraduate Engineering Management Case Competition successfully concluded its national finals in Beijing. Two teams from the School of Business Administration at SCUT (SBA-SCUT) each won a National Third Prize.

Guided by the Department of Degree Management & Postgraduate Education under the Ministry of Education, the competition is a premier national event promoting innovation among postgraduate students in engineering management. The 4th competition, held in November 2025, attracted a record-breaking participation of 902 case submissions from 160 postgraduate education institutions across the country.

One of SBA-SCUT teams, advised by Professor WANG Zhiqiang and composed of MEM students YE Tianlao, YANG Chenlan, HE Chuanchuan, WU Xiang, and ZHANG Yuqi, was awarded a National Third Prize in the Service Engineering track. The team developed an innovative optimization solution addressing critical challenges in medical logistics, highlighting the practical value of engineering management in healthcare.

The second team focused on technology integration and model innovation in health management. Through interdisciplinary collaboration between medicine and engineering, they proposed a hospital-to-home model for full-cycle health management. Their work earned them a National Third Prize in the Medicine-Engineering Integration track. This team was guided by Associate Professor YU Jianjun and comprised ZHENG Mingshuo, DUAN Yiqun, YU Yuying, YAO Qingshan, and ZHANG Weiqiang.

The SBA-SCUT has long emphasized deepening the collaboration of industry and education, and integrating scientific research with practical teaching. This outstanding performance at the national competition stands as a strong affirmation of the School’s high-quality talent development.
