Abstract:

Generative Artificial Intelligence(GenAI) has amazing potential but also presents enormous challenges in addition to endless opportunities. We don’t yet know the outcome but can begin to envision and implement creative applications with societal impact. This includes multiple aspects in healthcare with respect to patient well-being in addition to healthcare providers and related institutions. However, the potential for disruption and mis-application also present challenges to individuals and organizations. Governments are struggling to keep up with the ever-changing advancements in GenAI to institute sound policy and safeguards to ensure safe application without hindering innovation. The key to success is to harness the power of GenAI in driving societal impact through innovation being ever-aware of the multitude of relevant issues. It presents the need for a dynamic balance in the presence of many unknowns. This talk will seek in explore issues and remove uncertainties with encouragement for future research.
