It attracted over 2,000 students and staff from nearly 100 countries, alongside distinguished diplomats and university representatives.

The 3rd International Culture Festival at South China University of Technology commenced with a significant cultural moment as Mr. Sardar Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Guangzhou, and Mr. Doston Tojiboev, Consul of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou, performed the traditional Chinese dragon eye-dotting ceremony.

This ceremonial practice, deeply rooted in Chinese culture, symbolizes the awakening of the dragon's spirit and the invocation of prosperity and good fortune for the event. The participation of distinguished diplomats in this ritual highlighted the festival's spirit of cross-cultural exchange and international friendship, setting a meaningful tone for the day's celebrations.

The cultural booths became instant highlights at South China University of Technology's 3rd International Culture Festival, offering attendees an authentic global culinary experience.

From Malaysian nasi lemak and Russian pirozhki to Turkish ice cream and Panamanian rice pudding, visitors discovered over a hundred authentic flavors across the festival grounds. Armed with specially designed Culture Passports, students and staff embarked on a flavorful adventure, collecting stamps while sampling distinctive cuisines from different nations.

The culinary journey served as a delicious bridge for cultural exchange, allowing participants to explore world traditions through taste. The festival successfully created a vibrant international atmosphere on campus, with the Culture Passport activity adding an engaging dimension to the cross-cultural experience.

The stage at South China University of Technology's 3rd International Culture Festival became a dynamic platform for cross-cultural collaboration as nearly 200 international students from over 20 countries joined Chinese classmates to present 32 captivating performances.
