Personal Profile

Hu Bin is a tenured professor and doctoral supervisor at the Future Technology College of South China University of Technology, and a dual-appointed researcher at the Pazhou Laboratory of Guangdong Province. He/She obtained a doctoral degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2015. From 2015 to 2017, he/she conducted postdoctoral research at Huazhong University of Science and Technology and RMIT University successively. In 2018, he/she was appointed as an associate professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In 2023, he/she became a professor at South China University of Technology. I have been engaged in research in the intersection of artificial intelligence and control science, responsible for the construction of the 'Hybrid Brain Intelligence' research team, focusing on the construction and intervention of brain network intelligence and the application research of depression diagnosis and treatment. He has successively presided over two projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Published one monograph; Published 26 papers in Automatica and IEEE Transactions, including 23 as the first or corresponding author, and 2 of them were selected as ESI highly cited papers. The first inventor has been granted two patents. Served as an editorial board member of the journal 'Neurocomputing' and Secretary-General of the IEEE IES Technical Committee on Network-based Control Systems and Applications (China).
