Ou Shiqi, an overseas high-level introduced talent, is a tenured professor and doctoral supervisor at the Future Technology College of South China University of Technology. He is also a dual-appointed researcher at the Guangdong Provincial Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy (Guangzhou) (Pazhou Laboratory). From 2016 to 2023, he successively held positions as a postdoctoral researcher, associate researcher, and researcher at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy. I joined the Future Technology College at the Guangzhou International Campus of South China University of Technology in September 2023. The main research focuses on the application and innovation of artificial intelligence in the field of transportation and energy. During the period of working in the United States, I have long presided over or participated in multiple energy-related research projects of the United States Department of Energy and the United States Department of Transportation, and served as the head of the Transportation Energy Evolution Modeling team at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Served as the chief scientist for project funding at Saudi Aramco's U.S. branch. Currently serving as a member of the TRB- Transportation Energy Committee of the American Institute of Transportation (2020- present) Chairperson of the Subcommittee on International Aspects of Transportation Energy (2020- present) Academic positions such as Chair of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Sustainability Committee (2022- present). And served as Part D of Transportation Research: Editorial board member of Transport and Environment (a first-class journal of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) and Transportation Research Record (TRR) And the work of the young editorial board member of Communications in Transportation Research (COMMTR) (a first-class journal of the Chinese Academy of Sciences). Received the "Outstanding Performance Award" from Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 2020 and served as the US representative at the 2023 US-Japan Frontier Youth Forum of the National Academy of Engineering. In 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China will invite experts to report on the "Fifth National Assessment Report on Climate Change" series of seminars. More than 40 SCI papers have been published as the first or corresponding author in top journals in the Energy field such as "Nature Energy" and "Nature Communications".
