Personal Profile

Shu Lin, a doctoral supervisor, is a professor-level senior engineer at South China University of Technology and the vice dean of the Future Technology College. She is a senior member of IEEE and was selected for the 'Top 2% Global Scientists' list in 2022, 2023, and 2024. She is also the deputy director of the National Engineering Research Center for Mobile Ultrasonic Detection. Secretary-general of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Artificial Intelligence Talent Cultivation in Undergraduate Colleges and Universities of Guangdong Province, Standing Committee Member of the Smart Wearable Technology Special Committee of the Command and Control Society, Member of the Smart Healthcare Special Committee of the Artificial Intelligence Society. Research directions include flexible sensing, wearable computing, physiological and psychological computing, and human-computer interaction. With over ten years of scientific research accumulation and R&D experience in this field He has successively undertaken more than 10 scientific research projects, published over 70 scientific research papers, with a total citation count of over 6,000 times, including 3 highly cited papers. He has also participated in the compilation of 1 Springer monograph, applied for or been granted over 80 patents, including 3 US invention patents and 4 PCT patents. He has led the development of 7 new smart health products. Won the Gold and Silver Awards of the Geneva International Invention Awards, the Bronze Award of the China Invention Exhibition, and the Gold Award of the Shanghai International Invention Exhibition. Served as a reviewer for multiple academic journals: Served as an editorial board member of the Journal Scientific Reports for IEEE JBHI, IEEE Sensors Journal, Journal of Scientific Instrument, etc. Once served as the Session Chair of the IMBioc International conference Guest Associate Editor of Frontiers In Computational Neuroscience. Guided students to win one silver award in the National Internet Plus Competition, one special prize and one first prize in the Guangdong Province Challenge Cup, three first prizes and three second prizes in the National Research and Electronic Engineering Competition, and the second prize in the Guangdong Province Teaching Achievement Award.
