Prof. Yin got bachelor's degree in polymer science and engineering from department of chemical engineering of Tsinghua University in Beijing. After that, he joined Prof. Tianbo Liu's group in chemistry department of Lehigh University for PhD study in the solution behavior of macroions. In May 2013, Prof. Yin got PhD degree and went to department of polymer science in the University of Akron for postdoctoral research. From 2015-2017, he worked as Clifford G. Shull fellow in Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Now He is Professor in South China Advanced Institute for Soft Matter Science and Technology at South China University of Technology.
Prof. Yin is interested in the understanding of the formation mechanism and structure-property relation of nanocomposites using various types of scattering techniques (light, X-ray and neutron) and broad band dielectric spectroscopy. Particularly, polymer composites from nano-scaled molecular clusters are under focused for their well-defined, mono-dispersed structures and broad functionalities.
