Personal Profile

Cai Hongmin, a second-level professor and recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Future Technology and the School of Computer Science of South China University of Technology. Senior Visiting Professor at Kyoto University, and visiting scholar at Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania and Tsinghua University. IEEE Senior Member, CCF Distinguished Member. Editorial Board member of international journals such as IEEE Transaction on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence and Fundamental Research. Research interests focus on genes, cells and tissues, developing artificial intelligence analysis methods to achieve quantitative analysis of life. The relevant research results were published in IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, Nature Communications, and IEEE Transactions on Journals such as Medical Imaging and Bioinformatics. He has presided over more than 10 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Distinguished Young Scholars, Key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and key international cooperation projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and has been granted 14 patents. Won the First Prize of Natural Science of Guangdong Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, the Gold Award of Internet Plus Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the Second Prize of Guangdong Educational Teaching Achievement, etc.
