Personal Profile

Graduated with a doctorate from the University of Technology Sydney in 2016 and joined South China University of Technology as an associate researcher in the same year. In 2021, I was exceptionally promoted to researcher (with a senior professional title). The research field is computer vision and embodied intelligence, with a focus on solving the problems of understanding and generating human interactive movements, serving applications such as intelligent robots and virtual digital humans. More than 60 papers have been published in top journals and conferences such as TPAMI, IJCV, and CVPR, among which 5 are ESI highly cited papers as the first author. In the past five years, I have guided the postgraduate students of my research group to publish more than 30 papers as the first author in top journals such as IEEE T-PAMI, T-IP, IJCV, and top conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, and ACM MM.

Selected as a national-level young talent and a Guangdong Provincial Outstanding Youth. The research work won the First Prize of Natural Science of Guangdong Province in 2023, the Best Paper Award for Young Authors of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) in 2023 (only three papers were selected from thousands of top journals such as TIP/TSP/TIFS/TASLP in this year), the title of one of the top 2% of global scientists released by Stanford University, and 2021 The ACM China Rising Star Award (Guangzhou Chapter). Won the championship of the Video-based Face Recognition Challenge held by the National Institute of Standards and Technology in the United States and the top-level conference MICCAI The champion of the brain tumor segmentation competition held, and the double champion of the action Recognition Challenge and the action Expectation Challenge held by the top conference CVPR.'
