Personal Profile

Dr. Xu Xuemiao, currently Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at South China University of Technology, Vice Dean of Jun De College at the Guangzhou International Campus of South China University of Technology. Key research personnel at the State Key Laboratory of Subtropical Building Science-Smart City Research Direction in the Greater Bay Area, the Ministry of Education's Joint Laboratory for Big Data and Robot Intelligence in Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangdong, and the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Computational Intelligence and Network Space Information. Member of multiple specialized committees including the China Computer Federation's Computer Vision Committee, the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics' Multimedia Intelligence Committee, and the Chinese Society of Graphonomics' Big Data in Graphonomics Committee.

Dr. Xu has published over 60 research papers in internationally important journals and conferences in the fields of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and graphics, including 42 SCI-indexed papers (1 ESI Highly Cited Paper, 18 JCR Q1 papers), 9 top-tier conference papers, 20 pending invention patents, and 9 granted patents; she has led 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects and 6 Guangdong Provincial Major Special Projects, achieving over 8 billion RMB in industrialization value, and received the 2021 Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Prize) (First Completed Person) and the China Highway and Transportation Society Science and Technology Award (Second Prize). She has led graduate teams to win two national championships in the 'Digital Human' AI Challenge and Visual Challenge hosted by Alibaba Cloud, the national championship in the Smart Inventory category of the Digital China Innovation Competition, and the national third place in the Pedestrian Re-identification track of the National Artificial Intelligence Competition.
