Zhou Zhiheng, Professor and Master's /Doctoral Supervisor at South China University of Technology. Currently serving as Member of the Youth Working Committee of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League; Deputy Director of the Youth Working Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the China Democratic League; Vice Chair of the South China University of Technology Branch of the China Democratic League; Deputy Director of the Guangdong Engineering Technology Research Center for Intelligent Network Communications and Computing; and Council Member of the Guangzhou Statistical Society.

Research interests include: (1) Image processing theory and applications: denoising, segmentation, inpainting, object detection and recognition, coding and decoding, medical image analysis; (2) Pattern recognition and artificial intelligence: transfer learning, few-shot learning; (3) Intelligent systems: video surveillance systems, Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial Internet, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), in-vehicle driver assistance devices, smart home/building systems.

Has taught five undergraduate courses, two master's level courses, and one doctoral course. Has supervised over 60 master's students and 10 doctoral students. One graduate was awarded the title of Outstanding Graduate of Guangdong Province in 2020.
