Personal Profile

Qing Chunmei received her Ph.D. in Electronic Imaging and Media Communications from the University of Bradford, UK, and completed her postdoctoral research at the University of Lincoln, UK. She has been a visiting scholar at Microsoft Research Cambridge and the University of Strathclyde, UK. She currently serves as a committee member of the Affective Computing Technical Committee of the China Society of Image and Graphics (CSIG) and as Secretary of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) Guangzhou Chapter.

  Her research interests include brain-inspired visual enhancement and perception, multimodal affective computing, and intelligent human-computer interaction. She has led eight research projects, including General Programs and Youth Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Key Science and Technology Special Projects of Guangdong Province, and Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects. She has also participated in multiple international and national projects, such as those funded by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), the European Union Framework Programme 6 (FP6), and the National Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers in relevant fields and filed more than 20 invention patents.
