Biography
Xu Jin holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology, USA, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (where a US-based social network TV recommendation system was developed in 2013, receiving widespread media coverage). They successively served as a Senior Data Scientist at US technology companies (developing an intelligent monitoring system based on public opinion, with work reported by mainstream US media such as The New York Times and CNBC) and as a WeChat Research Supervisor. They have published over 20 articles in top-tier conferences and journals, including AAAI, ACL, WWW, IJCAI, ACMM, and TNNLS, and are committed to industry-academia-research collaboration in Artificial Intelligence. They have been selected for talent programs such as the Guangdong Provincial Young Scientist program.
Recruitment: The group is actively recruiting students for postgraduate recommendation and direct Ph.D. enrollment (Contact: jinxu@scut.edu.cn). Master's students will gain at least one WeChat project internship experience, and Ph.D. students will gain at least two.
