Biography

Xiaowei Hu is a Professor at the School of Future Technology, South China University of Technology (SCUT). He is a recipient of the Outstanding Young Talents Program of China and previously served as a Research Scientist at Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.

Research Projects

Prof. Hu’s research covers computer vision, low-level vision, intelligent perception and reasoning, multimodal foundation models and agents, and medical AI. Specifically, the research focuses on:

1.Revitalizing visual content under adverse weather and complex illumination conditions;

2.Developing intelligent perception and reasoning systems capable of continuous operation and adaptability;

3.Creating next-generation multimodal models for efficient multitask learning and robust understanding and generation.
