Bring “Tech Seeds” to rural pupils under the “Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Project”

This July,In answer to the national “Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Project,” South China University of Technology’s “Zhi-Xing Qian-Mo” task-force team brought summer school to the countryside. Six undergraduates from the School of Future Technology—Xiao Yekai, Ye Weijun, Wang Zimo, Chen Xi, Qi Yicheng and Wang Junqi—spent a week in Timian Primary School, Huadu District, Guangzhou, running a mini-camp titled “Child-like Hearts Set Sail, Dream-building in Timian.” Under the guidance of Prof. Liu Qi the volunteers designed two lively AI-literacy lessons that gave village pupils their first taste of frontier technology, aiming to sharpen scientific thinking and digital competence while keeping rural kids in step with today’s tech tide.
