On April 10, 2025 SCUT Funding Culture FestivalOpening Ceremony and the 4th “Academician Li Licheng Southern Power GridEducation Fund” Scholarship Awarding Ceremony was held successfully. Li Licheng,Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Honorary Dean of ElectricPower Engineering School of SCUT, Zou Hao,Standing Committee of the Party Committee ofSCUT, Duan Yong,DeputyDirector of  Human Resources Departmentof Southern Power Grid Corporation, relevant persons in charge of Department ofStudent Work, the Youth League Committee, Graduate School, EducationDevelopment Foundation of SCUT in Guangdong Province, School of Chemistry andChemical Engineering, School of Automation Science and Engineering, and Schoolof Electric Power Engineering, the award-winning students and studentrepresentatives totaling about 400 persons attended the event.

Zou Hao expressed his sincere thanks to AcademicianLi Licheng and Southern Power Grid Corporation for supporting education andcaring for students, and congratulated the students who received scholarships. ZouHao expressed his expectations for the students, hoping that they would becomeyoung people with ideals, actions, knowledge, abilities, good characters andsentiments.

Academician Li Licheng said that the scholarshipis set up to help students go further and more stable. He pointed out that weare in a great era full of big changes. The rapid development of China's energyand power industry shows the great progress our country has made. For China'sprosperity, we need to be more independent in scientific and technologicalinnovation.

Academician Li Licheng gave a special lectureon The Development of Electrical disciplines in the New Era and theThinking of New Power System Technology, which enriched students'professional knowledge and profoundly influenced their thinking mode, learningattitude and career development, laying a solid foundation for them to becomeoutstanding talents in the electrical field in the future.
