1. The university of edinburgh
The university of edinburgh was built in 1583, which is one of the oldest universities and the greatest universities. There are nice nobel prize winner from this university. Reffering to the grading from Higher Education Funding Council for England, university of edinburgh has gained full score of science in medical, biology, biochemistry, veterinary medicine, chemistry, physics, earth science, mathematics, computer, civil, electrical, geography, law, anthropology, sociology, accounting, finance, philosophy, theology, etc.
2. Joint exchange program
Since 2003, SCUT has developed a joint exchange program for undergraduate degree with the university of edinburgh. Up until to 2009, 14 students have been sent to the university of edinburgh from SCUT. In 2010, SCUT keeps developing "2+2" combined degree program with the university of edinburgh: after finish 2 years study in SCUT, chosen student can continue studying in the university of edinburgh for 2 year. Once the program finished, student who fully meet requirement from both university will be grant undergraduate degree from SCUT and the university of edinburgh.
3. Study fee
Course fee was £ 12,450/year, reffering to the standard of 2009 in the university of edinburgh (student who applied for exchange program could get £ 1500 off, totally the fee was £ 10,950/year)

4. Requirement and application
In 2010, exchange student program only applied for year 2 undergraduate student(2008's) from the School of Engineering and Electronics, which includes Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics.
IELTS 6.0 is required
