Prof. Du Guiping was born in China in 1968. He received B. Sc. degree and M.Sc degree from Southwest Jiaotong University in 1990 and 1997 respectively, and Ph.D. degree from South China University of Technology in 2003. He was engaged in post-doctoral research work in Control and Engineering Center during 2004-2006. He is senior member of China Electrotechnical Society and Chinese Mechanical Engineering, chairman of power supply and power electronics technical committee, Power Supply Association, Guangdong Province, consultant of situations of province, expert of science and technology project evaluation, deputy director and academic committee member of Guangdong Household Electrical Appliances Public Laboratory.
His research interests include power electronic systems, high-frequency industrial power supplies, digital control, non-contract power transmission, EMC of electrical and electronic equipment and so on. Over the past five years he has taken charge of 13 projects including National Natural Science Foundation, National “Eleventh Five-Year” Science and Technology Support Projects, Ministry of S&T Special Found, Breakthroughs Project in key areas of Guangdong and Hong Kong, Provincial Natural Science Foundation(2), Provincial-Ministry IRA Cooperation Project and Provincial S&T Projects. Project funds totaled more than 800 million yuan, series of high-frequency power supply equipment independently developed has entered the industrialization stage. As a principal investigator, he participated in “863” Projects, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Provincial Research Projects and cross-research projects. Over 50 articles are published on “China Journal of Electrical Engineering”, ”Mechanical Engineering” and other publications, 20 of which are included by SCI,EI and ISTP. He holds 5 china patents.
At present the main research are as follows:
1.MW-class high –frequency power supply equipment;
2.spurious argument behavior and system optimization of high-frequency power converter;
3.EMC pre-design technology of electrical equipment;
4. Electric locomotive AC traction drive systems and control technology.
