Our school has achieved a landmark breakthrough in scientific research - the number of projects funded by the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province has reached a record high, demonstrating a leapfrog growth trend and highlighting our institute's strong basic research innovation capabilities and vigorous scientific research development vitality, injecting hard-core momentum into high-quality development.
Our school has received 19 project approvals this year. Among them, Professor Zhu Haoshen has obtained one Guangdong Province Outstanding Youth Project, and 18 general projects have been approved. The approval of these projects demonstrates the positive development trend of the young scientific research talent team in our school over the past two years, and has injected fresh vitality into the construction of the scientific research team.
This is not only a significant indicator of the steady and substantial rise in our school's research strength and core competitiveness, but also a new starting point for research development. In recent years, the school has continuously optimized the innovation ecosystem through measures such as improving the research incentive mechanism, building characteristic research platforms, and deepening the collaborative innovation among enterprises and the school in the areas of industry-university-research cooperation.
Standing at a new starting point of scientific research development, the school will focus on the full-cycle management of project funding, precisely optimize resource allocation, deeply stimulate the vitality of scientific research innovation, accelerate the transformation of scientific research achievements from laboratory to application field, and strive to cultivate more high-level scientific and technological talents, contributing more solid wisdom and strength to serving the national innovation-driven development strategy and promoting the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area.
