South China University of Technology successfully completed the hosting of the TI Cup 2024 National Undergraduate Electronic Design Competition Guangdong Region

   South China University of Technologysuccessfully completed the hosting of the TI Cup 2024 National UndergraduateElectronic Design Competition Guangdong Region, with students achieving great results.

The 2024 National Undergraduate Electronic Design CompetitionGuangdong Region, hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Educationand organized by South China University of Technology, was held from July 29 toAugust 1, 2024, and the review was successfully completed at the Wushan Campusof South China University of Technology from August 3 to 4.

A total of 1301 teams from 70 universities across the provinceparticipated, with 3903 people competing, setting new records for both thenumber of participating teams and competitors. A total of 64 teams from ouruniversity successfully participated, with 27 teams winning awards, including 6teams that won first prize. Specifically, at the Wushan Campus, 41 teamsparticipated, with 21 teams winning awards and 5 teams winning first prize.Both the number of participating teams and the number of winning teams haveshown significant growth.

Since its inception in 1994, the National Undergraduate ElectronicDesign Competition has evolved into the longest-running, largest-scale, andmost influential academic competition in the field of electronic information.The competition is based on the design of electronic circuits and integratedcircuit applications, integrating teaching practices with emerging industrialtechnologies such as new energy and artificial intelligence. It sets a varietyof modern electronic technology application topics for undergraduate and highervocational groups, including mixed analog-digital circuits and embeddedsystems, aiming to guide college students' innovative consciousness,collaborative spirit, and practical ability cultivation, and to improvestudents' comprehensive ability to design and produce electronic solutions forpractical problems.

As the host university for the Guangdong region, our university,based on the experience of previous competitions and considering factors suchas the scale of the event, characteristics of the participating institutions,and conditions of experimental sites, actively guided universities incompetition mobilization and guidance. Through the online inspector system, weensured the smooth progress of the competition across various regions in theprovince, actively organized and ensured the event organization and supportwork, including centralized evaluation, strengthened the promotion of thecompetition, created a fair, stable, and harmonious competition atmosphere, andfully ensured the smooth and orderly progress of the competition.
