Professor Qingxin Chu was elected as vice-chairman of Chinese Antenna Society

              

The 2015 National Conference on Antenna(NCANT) was held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province from October 19th to 21st. More than 600 scholars, technical staff and students attend this conference, with more than 30 enterprises participate in exhibition. The biennial NCANT is a professional academic event for the antenna industry, which provides a broad exchange platform of academic, scientific research achievements and the latest advances in technology for people in the field of antenna.

At this Conference, Professor Qingxin Chu of our school was elected as the vice chairman of committee of Antenna Society, the Chinese Institute of Electronics. After recommend by the reviewers, 31 candidates for students Excellent Paper Award are selected from nearly 600 papers. After on-site review by the students excellent paper review group composed of domestic and foreign famous experts and final review by the President of the Conference. Keke Zheng, a 2014 graduate student, tutored by Professor Chu, was awarded Excellent Paper Award of 2015 NCANT for his paper Zero-Phase Center Beidou Antenna Based on Self-phase-shifting Feeding Structure. A total of six students received this award.

Professor Chu attended this Conference and gave a invited lecture entitled Several Key Issues in the Design of Antenna for Base Stations. Last NCANT was hosted by our school and Professor Chu served as the chairman of that Conference. The 2017 NCANT will be held in Xi’an, hosted by the Air Force Engineering University.
