The first SCUT-UNSW joint workshop was held in SCUT

On May 26-27, 2014, the School SEIE held the first SCUT-UNSW joint workshop in Shaw Building of Science, in SCUT. The joint workshop is mainly based on the long term cooperation between South China University of Technology and University of New south Welsh. Michael Frater, the rector of UNSW Canberra, and the Xichun Zhang, vice-president of SCUT, attended the opening ceremony. The topics of the workshop are mainly focused on signal processing in image&video and wireless communications. Totally, 13 academic talks were held to promote further communications between the teachers and students of both sides. During the joint workshop, seminal fund was established to support the future cooperation and communications between SCUT and UNSW.
