An invited talk given by Prof. Levent Gürel

On the morning of June 6, 2013, an academic exchange seminar was held in Room 107, Shaw building of science. The seminar was hosted by Prof. LI Ronglin in the school SEIE, SCUT, and Prof. Levent Gürel was invited to give a talk on “Solution of Extremely Large Integral Equations in Computational Electromagnetic” His presentation focused on fast algorithms and parallel computing in computational electromagnetic.

Prof. Levent Gürel is a professor in Dept. of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, where he founded the Computational Electromagnetics Research Center (BiLCEM) at Bilkent University in 2005. He is serving as the director of BiLCEM. Prof. Gürel is an IEEE Fellow and he is elected as a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society for 2011-2013. He presented more than 30 invited talks all over the world. He is invited to the 2011 Applied Computational Electromagnetic Society (ACES) Conference in Virginia, USA, as a Plenary Speaker.
