Prof. Gang Wei received the B.Sc. degree from Tsinghua University, China, and M.Sc. and the Ph.D. degree from the South China University of Technology. In July 1990, he joined the radio institution, South China University of Technology,China, as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 1995, and then to Full Professor in 1997.   He worked as a Research assistant at the City University of Hong Kong From June 1992 to May 1994. He was a Senior Visiting Scholar at University of Southern California, Los Angeles, from June 1997 to May 1998. His current research focuses on signal processing and personal communications.
