ProfessorZhang, a Ph.D. supervisor, can be reached via email at zhyzhang@scut.edu.cn.  He holdssignificant roles, including Secretary-General for the South ChinaTransportation and Logistics Development Research Center, Vice Chairperson andDeputy Secretary-General for the Teaching and Steering Committee of LogisticsManagement and Engineering Majors in Guangdong Universities, as well asEditor-in-chief for the Journal of Logistics and Supply Chain. In addition, heis a Special Consultant for the Guangdong Province Port Association, StandingDirector for the Guangdong Logistics and Supply Chain Association, andCommittee Member for the Guangdong Province Logistics StandardizationCommittee. Moreover, he has served as an Expert for the Guangzhou Logistics andSupply Chain Association and Major Administrative Decision-Making Demonstrationin Guangzhou City (2015-2020).

  Over the lastfive years, Professor Zhang has been involved in more than 30 research projectsfocused on logistics policy, regional logistics and economy, supply chainfinance, service supply chain, logistics system simulation, big data, andintelligent logistics. He has published over 40 papers and contributed to theestablishment of various local logistics standards.

  His researchareas include regional logistics and economy, service supply chain, supplychain finance, modeling and optimization of complex logistics systems, andsmart logistics technology and applications (Internet of Things, big data,automation).
