  He holds theposition of chief expert at the 2021-2035 National Medium and Long-termScientific and Technological Development Planning Project, specificallyfocusing on “Research on Building a Community of Shared Future for Mankindthrough Technological Innovation towards 2035”. Furthermore, he is the teamlead of the “Innovation Talent Promotion Plan” by the Ministry of Science andTechnology and serves as a director of the China Soft Science ResearchAssociation.

  Professor Gu isalso a member of Xinhua’s top think tank (Liaowang Think Tank) and contributesas an appraisal expert for various institutions, namely the National Science& Technology Awards Expert Database, the National Social Science Fund, theMinistry of Education’s University Science and Technology Awards, as well asthe Philosophy and Social Science Projects. Additionally, he is a guestresearcher at the Guangdong Provincial Survey and Research Center and anappraisal expert for Doctoral Programs Fund by the Ministry of Education.Moreover, Professor Gu serves as an appraisal expert for the Guangdongprovincial philosophy and social science planning projects, science andtechnology projects, and outstanding youth projects in both Guangdong andZhejiang provinces. His research interests span across digital innovation,innovation management, digital government, high-tech industry management,strategic management, digital economy, and cross-border e-commerce.

  He has producedover 40 publications in respected journals. Professor Gu has been involved inleading and participating in significant projects, including those related toNational Medium and Long-term Scientific and Technological DevelopmentPlanning, the National Social Science Fund, the National Natural Science Fund,the National Soft Science Projects, and projects by the Ministry of Educationand Guangdong Province.
