ProfessorZhong, a Ph.D. supervisor and director of the Intelligent Supply Chain ResearchCenter, is an Advanced Research Scholar at the Hong Kong Polytechnic Universityand a Visiting Scholar at the University of Texas at Austin. She is a reviewexpert for the Key Special Projects of Strategic International Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation from the Ministry of Science and Technology,as well as a Review Expert for Research Funds and Science and Technology Awardsfrom the Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Education. Additionally, she serves as an Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Expert in Transportation from the Ministry of Transportation.

  In recentyears, her primary research focus has been on intelligent supply chains,dangerous goods logistics, green supply chains, power supply chains, and portand shipping logistics. She has published over 50 papers in reputable journals such as ‘Transportation Research Part E’, ‘Journal of Cleaner Production’,‘Transportation Research Part D’, ‘Ocean Engineering’, ‘The Theory and Practiceof System Engineering’, ‘Maritime Policy and Management’, ‘Ocean and Coastal Management’, and ‘Habitat International’, as well as in various international academic conferences.

  Moreover, shehas led two projects funded by the National Social Science Fund and sixprovincial-ministerial level research projects from the Ministry of Education,in addition to over 20 departmental level research projects and corporate consulting projects. Furthermore, she has acquired four software copyrights andtwo patents.
