The list of winners for the 2025 Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award has been officially announced recently. The project “Synergistic Mechanism Research on Process Intensification for Petrochemical Hydrocarbon Separation”, in which Ms. Jing Xiao from our school participated, has been honored with the Second Class Prize of the Guangdong Natural Science Award.
South China University of Technology has obtained a total of 38 awards from the 2025 Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award, keeping its first place among universities across the province in terms of the number of awards. This fully demonstrates the university’s strong capacity for scientific and technological innovation and its commitment to serving industrial development within the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
Devoted to chemical engineering research, Ms. Jing Xiao bases her work on disciplinary strengths and conducts technical research targeting practical industrial demands. Working collaboratively with her team through dedicated efforts, she has broken through relevant technical bottlenecks and generated innovative outcomes with practical application value. She has contributed to the school’s scientific research innovation, disciplinary development, and the high quality development of Guangdong’s chemical industry.
All faculty members of the school are encouraged to follow this exemplary role model.
