From October 14 to 15, Huang Guoqing, Party Secretary of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, South China University of Technology, led faculty representatives from the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering to Fujian for visits to alumniowned enterprises. The delegation successively visited Quangang Shengyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Quanzhou Shengyuan Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., and Nan’an Shengyuan Environmental Power Co., Ltd., and was warmly received by alumnus Zhu Yuxuan, Chairman of Shengyuan Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., and alumnus Yang Yayong, General Manager of Quangang Shengyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

During the symposium, alumnus Zhu Yuxuan recalled his campus days and shared insights drawn from his entrepreneurial journey and the longterm practical experience accumulated in enterprise development. Expressing gratitude for his almamater’s education, he hoped to further deepen universityenterprise linkages and support the development of his alma mater through collaborative platforms. Both sides conducted indepth discussions on alumni liaison services, the joint construction of universityenterprise talent training bases, student internship and employment referrals, and the transformation of industryuniversityresearch achievements. Secretary Huang Guoqing stated that alumni constitute an invaluable resource for the university and an essential driving force for the advancement of SCUT. He looked forward to tighter cooperative ties between the school and alumni as well as alumnirun enterprises, so as to pool strengths for mutual empowerment and winwin progress for both university and industry.

During the field visits, the delegation toured production workshops and R&D platforms of the three enterprises to gain comprehensive insights into corporate history, business layout, cuttingedge technology R&D, project application scenarios and mediumtolongterm development plans. On this trip, Secretary Huang Guoqing and Professor Liu Jinbin, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering, also paid a special visit to Quangang No. 2 High School, the alma mater of alumnus Zhu Yuxuan. They delivered popularscience lectures and admission promotion presentations for teachers and students on campus. The event featured lively onsite interactions and yielded positive feedback.
