Peaches and plums thrive with lofty aspirations; university and enterprise forge a shared chapter hand in hand. To strengthen exchanges and cooperation with alumni enterprises, consolidate university-enterprise synergy, and expand pathways for technological innovation and talent development, on September 22, Jiang Lianxia, Director, and Mao Shanchao, Deputy Director of the Office for Domestic Cooperation (Alumni Affairs); Huang Guoqing, Party Secretary of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering; Liang Zhenxing, Vice Dean; together with faculty representatives from relevant research fields, paid a visit to Guangzhou Grandtop Technology Co., Ltd. for exchanges. The delegation reminisced about alumni ties and discussed cooperation plans.
Three alumni of South China University of Technology, namely Xiao Hongxing, Chairman of Guangzhou Grandtop Technology Co., Ltd., Zeng Hong, General Manager, and Li Qinyuan, Chief Engineer, extended a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the delegation from their alma mater. The three alumni recalled their rewarding and fulfilling campus years and expressed heartfelt appreciation for the nurturing support of the university. Xiao Hongxing noted that the enterprise aims to establish a regular university-enterprise cooperation mechanism with the alma mater, forming long-term and stable collaboration in priority areas including talent training, scientific research and joint construction of innovation platforms. Such efforts will advance in-depth integration of industry, academia and research, and drive further robust development of both the university and the alumni enterprise.
During the forum, Li Qinyuan briefed the delegation on the company’s development history, core business layout, R&D achievements and industrial application scenarios. Vice Dean Liang Zhenxing introduced the disciplinary development, faculty strength, research innovation and talent training system of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. Both sides held discussions on key technical areas such as electronic chemicals and the R&D of high-end printed circuit boards (PCBs). Professor Zhang Min and Associate Professor Yu Yuxiang exchanged views with the enterprise’s technical team on cutting-edge industry issues, directions for technical breakthroughs, and the commercialization of research outcomes, sparking fresh innovative ideas.
Moving forward, the Office for Domestic Cooperation (Alumni Affairs) and the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering will continue to strengthen communication with alumni and alumni enterprises, deliver high-quality services, deepen collaborative innovation between university and enterprise, broaden cooperation areas and enrich cooperation connotations.
