Recently, Lanxun Group donated RMB 100,000 as an education fund to support talent development in the chemistry and chemical engineering disciplines at South China University of Technology (SCUT).
The donation ceremony was held in Room 105, Yifu Engineering Hall, on July 15, 2026. Attendees included Ms. Chen Yan, Executive Deputy Secretary General of the SCUT Education Development Foundation; Prof. Huang Guoqing, Party Secretary of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering; Mr. Zheng Cunhui, Organization Officer at Principal Staff Level; Mr. He Songjun, Chairman of Lanxun Group; Mr. Wang Yongqian, General Manager of Lanxun Group; and other distinguished guests.
On behalf of the university, Mr. Huang Guoqing expressed gratitude for Lanxun Group’s generous donation. He noted that the high-quality development of the university’s administration and talent cultivation would not be possible without the care and support from all sectors of society. This corporate donation serves as a vivid example of an enterprise proactively fulfilling its social responsibilities and advancing education. It also marks an important step for the university in deepening university-enterprise cooperation and improving collaborative talent training mechanisms. Taking this partnership as a new starting point, both sides will fully leverage their respective resource strengths, further integrate industry, academia, and research, and promote precise alignment and concerted progress among talent cultivation, scientific and technological innovation, and industrial development.
In his address, Mr. He Songjun stated that Lanxun Group has long upheld a strong sense of social responsibility and professional dedication. Committed to cooling tower technologies, the enterprise remains rooted in the real economy for national rejuvenation and devotes itself to public welfare education. He expressed the hope that this donation would serve as a bond to help the university nurture more outstanding talents. Mr. He spoke highly of SCUT’s talent training philosophy, which integrates theory with practice, fosters innovative thinking, and cultivates fine qualities including diligence and the pursuit of excellence. He looked forward to deeper industry-academia-research collaboration with the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, covering the joint establishment of student internship and employment bases, doctoral innovation workstations, and new technology R&D. Through coordinated talent cultivation, both parties will contribute to the construction and high-quality development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
During the ceremony, Mr. Liu Caigang, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and Mr. Wang Yongqian, General Manager of Guangdong Lanxun Technology Development Co., Ltd., jointly signed the donation agreement.
