To fully implement the work arrangements of the Ministry of Education and the university on the special "Campus-Enterprise Outreach for Employment Promotion" campaign, precisely align industrial development demands with corporate employment criteria, deepen the school-enterprise collaborative education mechanism, and expand high-quality employment channels for graduates, on June 5, a special visiting team led by Huang Guoqing, Party Secretary of the College, Liang Zhenxing, Vice Dean, and Liu Caigang, Deputy Party Secretary, paid successive visits to three leading industrial enterprises: a semiconductor firm in Shenzhen, Shenzhen Salubris Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., and Shennan Circuits Co., Ltd. The team conducted on-site investigations, panel discussions, and job expansion coordination, with in-depth exchanges covering six key areas: training of outstanding engineers, construction of joint postgraduate training bases, undergraduate internship bases, joint postdoctoral training, co-construction of laboratories, and promotion of Chemical Engineering Master of Engineering Management (MEM) enrollment. The visit strived to build a bridge for industry-education integration and school-enterprise collaborative education.

The three visited enterprises are influential high-tech listed companies specializing in semiconductor innovation, innovative pharmaceutical R&D, and high-end electronic circuit manufacturing respectively, whose talent training orientations are highly consistent with those of the College. During the visits, corporate executives extended a warm welcome to the College delegation. They guided the team on tours of production workshops, R&D laboratories and product exhibition centers, and elaborated on corporate development history, core business layout, technological R&D strengths, industrial prospects and talent development systems, fully demonstrating the companies’ operation models and career development platforms.

At the Shenzhen semiconductor enterprise, corporate leaders detailed the company’s progress in core business segments including semiconductor chip R&D, packaging & testing, and intelligent manufacturing, with a focus on current talent shortages, competency requirements for available positions and career advancement paths in the semiconductor sector. Both sides held in-depth discussions on talent cultivation, internships and graduate employment. Combining the College’s disciplinary strengths, talent training features and graduates’ competitive edges, the team gained targeted insights into corporate recruitment demands and job matching standards, laying a solid foundation for optimizing subsequent talent training programs and providing targeted technical professionals to the enterprise.

The delegation then proceeded to Salubris Pharmaceuticals, a leading innovative pharmaceutical enterprise and long-term alumni partner of the College. Boasting a comprehensive talent incubation system and promising career platforms, the company’s human resources officials outlined campus recruitment openings, talent development schemes, compensation and benefits packages, and existing school-enterprise cooperation models during the forum, and spoke highly of the professional competence and comprehensive quality of the College’s students. Leveraging complementary school and corporate resources, both parties agreed to establish regular talent recruitment pipelines to facilitate precise job matching for students and targeted talent recruitment for the enterprise.

The final stop of the visit was Shennan Circuits, a national leader in the electronic circuit industry. Focused on electronic interconnection solutions, the enterprise serves high-end sectors such as communications, data centers and automotive electronics, and stands as an industry benchmark for technological innovation and intelligent manufacturing. Corporate representatives stated that the industry is currently in urgent need of high-caliber technical, skilled and innovative talents. They expressed expectations to deepen all-round cooperation with the College, leveraging the College’s educational resources to cultivate professionals tailored to industrial demands and support corporate technological upgrading and industrial growth.

This targeted campus-enterprise outreach campaign yielded remarkable results. By engaging top industrial enterprises, the College gained clearer insights into cutting-edge industrial trends and core talent recruitment pain points of corporations. Moving forward, the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering will sustain regular campus-enterprise outreach initiatives, advance comprehensive, multi-level partnerships with high-quality enterprises, boost in-depth industry-education integration and accurate matching between talent supply and corporate demand, and refine the long-term school-enterprise collaborative education mechanism. The College will keep improving talent training quality, help graduates secure higher-quality and fuller employment, and continuously supply outstanding professionals to fuel high-quality industrial development.
