To deepen university-enterprise collaboration and consolidate alumni resources, a delegation from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, South China University of Technology, led by Party Secretary Huang Guoqing and Division-Level Organization Officer Zheng Cunhui, together with staff from the School Alumni Office, conducted an exchange visit to Guangzhou Startec Science and Technology Co., Ltd. on April 22, 2026. The delegation was warmly received by General Manager Meng Juguang, an alumnus who earned his master's degree in Applied Chemistry from South China University of Technology in 1991 and is recognized as a distinguished alumnus and an industrial leader with over two decades of dedication to the chemical industry.



During the symposium, Deputy General Manager Yuan Baohe delivered a comprehensive overview of the company's developmental trajectory, technological accumulation, and industrial deployment. General Manager Meng Juguang elaborated on core product portfolios, competitive market advantages, and growth prospects, demonstrating the company's robust capabilities within the sector. Secretary Huang Guoqing outlined the University's recent strategic initiatives, including the establishment of joint postgraduate training bases, university-enterprise collaborative laboratories, and excellence programs for engineer cultivation. He expressed a sincere commitment to fostering synergistic advancement and mutual empowerment between the alma mater and alumni enterprises. Division-Level Officer Zheng Cunhui conveyed his aspiration for the enterprise to sustain its innovative momentum and achieve its objective of listing on the A-share market at the earliest opportunity. Subsequently, the delegation toured the R&D laboratories and production facilities to gain firsthand insights into technological development, manufacturing processes, and quality control protocols. The orderly production environment within the plant vividly reflected the enterprise's vigorous growth trajectory and dynamic operational vitality.



This visit has established a vital communication bridge between the university and the enterprise, laying a solid foundation for subsequent collaboration in coordinated talent cultivation, scientific research breakthroughs, and technology commercialization.
