Biography of the Speaker
Prof. Zhu Jieping received his B.S. from Hangzhou Normal University in 1984, followed by his M.S. from Lanzhou University and Ph.D. from Université de Paris-Sud in France. He conducted postdoctoral research at Texas A & M University from 1991 to 1992. He carried out independent research at Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles, CNRS in France from 1992 to 2010. Since 2010, he has been engaged in research on total synthesis, multicomponent reactions, metal-catalyzed domino reactions and catalytic asymmetric transformations at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL). His honours and awards include: Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellow (2002); National Science Foundation Outstanding Young Oversea Scientist Award (China) (2003); Liebig Lectureship of the German Chemical Society (2004); Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Natural Product Chemistry Award, UK (2016).
