[Speaker Biography]  

Professor Peng Yong is a Cuiying Distinguished Professor and Cuiying Scholar at Lanzhou University, doctoral supervisor, and Director of the Lanzhou University Electron Microscopy Center. He also serves as executive director or chair of more than ten academic societies and professional committees. His research focuses on the development of in-situ electron-microscopy instrumentation and in-situ characterization of materials and devices inside electron microscopes. He has published over 230 papers in SCI journals such as Nature, Nature Materials, Physical Review Letters, and Advanced Materials, with more than 13,000 citations, and has been granted 35 national and international patents. He has led or participated in more than 50 research projects, delivered over 100 invited talks, and organized 20+ domestic and international conferences. He founded the Electron Microscopy Society for Northwest China and the Electron Microscopy Center at Lanzhou University, and assisted in establishing the Electron Microscopy Center at Yunnan University.
