[Biography]

Wan Qian, a professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, has hosted the National Outstanding Youth Fund project and is the deputy director of the Sugar Chemistry Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society. Mainly engaged in the basic research and application development of sugar drugs, He has won the First Prize of Natural Science in Hubei Province, ACP Lectureship Awards (Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan), Zhang Shuzheng Outstanding Youth Sugar Science Award, Thieme Chemistry Journals Award, Xinhe Cheng "China Chemistry" Innovation Award, T. Ogawa Young Investigator Award and Wuxi AppTec Life Chemistry Research Award, currently Associate Editor of J. Carbohydr. Chem.
