[Biography]

Zhongwen Liu, Professor, has been engaged in basic and applied research on C1 chemistry and chemical engineering, mainly including the reaction process and catalyst design for selective regulation of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis product distribution, the new process and catalyst engineering for the utilisation of CO2 as a weak oxidant, and the key technology of on-board hydrogen production for fuel cells. He has presided over more than 10 research projects, including key R&D programme projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and enterprise-commissioned projects etc. He has published more than 150 SCI papers in mainstream academic journals in this field, and has applied for more than 30 Chinese invention patents, of which more than 20 have been granted. He has been awarded the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Award and other awards. He is now the director of the Key Laboratory of Syngas Conversion in Shaanxi Province, vice chairman of the Supercritical Fluid Committee and member of the Chemical Engineering Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, vice chairman of the Catalysis Committee of the Chinese Rare Earth Society, and member of the Catalysis Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society.
