On September 19, the Campus Tour of China National Chemical Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CNCEC) to South China University of technology was successfully concluded. In particular, the signing ceremony of Industry-University-Research Collaboration between South China University of Technology and CNCEC as well as the awarding ceremony of South China University of Technology's Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Practice Base were held in the Shaw Humanities building. Jundong Fang, Assistant principal of South China University of technology, and Zhiming Yang, assistant to the general manager of CNCEC, general manager of the South China Regional Headquarters, secretary of the Communist Party of China and executive director of China Energy Construction Group Southern Construction Investment Co., Ltd., attended the signing ceremony. School Party secretary Guomin Xu, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering with Xuelin Shi, deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China and secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of China Energy Construction Group Southern Construction Investment Co., Ltd..

At the beginning of the signing ceremony, Jundong Fang introduced the achievements of South China University of Technology in talent training and discipline construction to the guests. He said that on the basis of no merging with other institutions, South China University of Technology has worked hard and forged ahead. The University ranks in the 201-300 range of the "Academic Ranking of World Universities", and the engineering ranking ranks 22nd in the world. In particular, engineering, materials science, chemistry, agricultural science 4 disciplines entered the top 1‰, and it ranked as the 6th in China and the first place in south China. It was hoped that today's cooperation ceremony can become a successful starting point for the two sides to continuously deepen exchanges and cooperation. The cooperation would also contribute to promoting the sustainable development of school personnel training and scientific research, provide continuous support to enhance the company's global competitiveness in the field of industrial engineering, so as to achieve the strategic goal of win-win cooperation.

Zhiming Yang introduced the current situation of the group in his speech. He said that CNCEC is a large-scale engineering construction enterprise group directly supervised by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.It is an engineering company with the most complete qualifications, the most complete functions, the most complete business chain and intensive knowledge and technology in the field of industrial engineering in China. He hoped that this signing would be an opportunity to give full play to the advantages of "central enterprise brand + double first-class universities", further strengthen docking exchanges and cooperation, deepen industry-university-research and applications, build high-end platforms, accelerate the transformation of achievements, and achieve common development.
