“Comprehensive construction of a new journey, to greet the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China" —— the first ideological and political class from the school dean in the spring term of 2021
On the 27th March 2021, the first ideological and political lesson entitled "Comprehensive construction of a new journey, to greet the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China " was held as scheduled in the University Town Campus. The school dean Prof. Zhengguo Zhang, served as the keynote speaker, guiding young students to consciously enhance the "four consciousnesses", strengthen the "four self-confidences", achieve "two safeguards", strive to start a new journey of comprehensively building a modern socialist country with a high attitude, and greet the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party with excellent results. School deputy secretary Caigang Liu, counselors, and all undergraduate students of the class of 2020 participated in the study.
In the class, starting from the "four consciousnesses", Prof. Zhang explained the "four self-confidences" in simple terms by skillfully connecting and emphasizing the international situation and hot topics. With his own experience, Prof. Zhang addressed the rapid development and strength of the country from a personal perspective, and strengthened the correctness of the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Focusing on the history of the Communist Party of China over the past century, it guided students to better understand the root of China's self-confidence and let the students have a deeper understanding of the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The ideological and political class by Prof. Zhang was vivid and interesting by combining current political hotspots, and the classroom atmosphere was intensively active.
By the class, students realized that they were in a major change that had not occurred in a hundred years, and pondered the combination of personal growth and talent with the practice of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the Chinese dream, and contributed their own strength to the construction of a modern socialist country. For example, Xiang Zheng of a student in the class of 2020 shared his feelings with all audiences. He believed that "Four self-confidences" is the spiritual driving force for the party to lead the people to promote socialist modernization from victory to victory. However, at present, some Chinese people are not confident, and even worship foreign countries and despise national culture, which is a direct consequence of lack of self-confidence. To change this phenomenon, we must extensively carry out the education of the "four self-confidences" in the whole society and promote the "four self-confidences" to penetrate deeply into the heart.
The theme of the ideological and political class is to promote the special education of party history in the school and to set off an upsurge in the study of party history among students. At the same time, the education would also guide new students to establish correct political beliefs and stimulate the enthusiasm of new students to actively move closer to the party organization.
