The academic exchange and 2021 work report meeting of Guangdong Key Laboratory of fuel cell technology successfully held

The academic exchange and 2021 work report meeting of Guangdong Key Laboratory of fuel cell technology was successfully held in conference room 105, Shaw engineering hall, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering on 14th January 2022. The meeting was attended by Guomin Xu, secretary of the Party Committee of the school, school dean Prof. Zhengguo Zhang, school vice dean Prof. Hongming Lou, and Key Laboratory members. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Zhenxing Liang.
Secretary Xu, dean Zhang and vice dean Lou delivered speeches, respectively, and they fully affirmed the importance of academic exchange activities organized by the key laboratory in cultivating high-level talents and promoting scientific research cooperation. Finally, they put forward valuable opinions and suggestions for the future development of the key laboratory.
At the meeting, the director of the provincial key laboratory, Prof. Shijun Liao, made a report on the work of the key laboratory. He reviewed the work of the Provincial Key Laboratory in the past three years and commented on the development trend of China's new energy technology in combination with the national dual carbon strategy. Moreover, six laboratory representative members also delivered academic reports of their achievements, focusing on the research direction of renewable energy in hydrogen energy, fuel cell and energy storage battery. The reports included "Regulating the molecular and microstructure of carbon nitride polymer to improve the performance of photocatalytic hydrogen and oxygen production" by Prof. Xiaoming Fang, "Preliminary Study on the design and performance optimization of PEO based high specific energy all solid state lithium battery" by Prof. Yuanfu Deng, "Design, synthesis and application of intermetallic electrocatalyst" by Prof. Zhiming Cui, "Development progress of electrodialysis ED and diffusion dialysis DD new non alkaline anion exchange membrane" by Prof. Xiuhua Li, "Research on electroactive organic molecules for water flow battery" by Dr. Zhizhi Hu and "Preliminary study on the conversion of furan biomass molecules and CO2 catalyzed by MOFs based materials" by Dr. Ruiqi Fang. After the presentations, the speakers had intensive discussions with audiences in some hot topics. The meeting showed a very active research atmosphere and effectively promoted the academic exchanges within the laboratory.
Finally, Prof. Liang made a brief summary for the meeting and put forward some proposals in the future development of the laboratory to promote the construction and development of the laboratory with contributions of all laboratory members.
