Laboratories inspection by Vice President of SCUT
In order to further strengthen laboratory safety management and implement safety inspection before major school vacation, Vice President of SCUT, Min Zhu, together with Deputy Director (Acting Director) Zhe Liu and Deputy Director Zhimin Yao and comrades of Laboratory and Equipment Management Office, visited the school of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering for laboratory safety inspection in the afternoon of the 21st June 2021. Minguo Xu, secretary of the Party Committee of the school, Xuehui Li, vice dean of the school and Li Fan, deputy divisional organizer accompanied the inspection.
Firstly, Vice President Min Zhu inspected the Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Principle and Organic Chemistry teaching and research laboratories meticulously as the order of the randomly selected laboratories in turn. In particular, Vice President Zhu inspected the safety conditions of each laboratory in details, and questioned laboratory responsible person and graduate students about the storage of reagents, and the disposal of waste solids and liquids in the process of lithium-ion battery preparation, and put forward clear requirements for rectification of existing problems. After that, Vice President Zhu clearly affirmed the recent achievements of the school in laboratory safety management and addressed several requirements to the school and responsible person of relevant laboratories. Initially, to establish the awareness of safety first, and carry out the safety management to all aspects of moral education. Secondly, to make sure further mobilize all teachers and students to implement the main responsibility of laboratory safety; Finally, to overcome all kinds of difficulties to ensure the safe development.
