The entrance education for the 2021 postgraduate in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering

The 2021 postgraduate entrance education and laboratory safety and academic ethics education of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering were successfully held in the International Conference Hall of Liwu Science and Technology Building on the 24th October 2021.Yingwei Li and Xuehui Li, vice deans of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Caigang Liu, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the school, and Zhenying Liu, the 2021 postgraduate counselor of the school attended the event.

University laboratories are an important support for student training and scientific research. Lack of safety education is the main cause of major accidents and casualties.Laboratory safety accidents occur from time to time, causing great property losses and many casualties to colleges and universities. To address the above issues,Vice Dean Xuehui Li presented several laboratory safety accidents that have occurred in different universities in recent years, and emphasized that it is necessary to improve the safety awareness of laboratory work, keep in mind the laboratory operation standards, and get rid of luck, and hope that students can always put safety first.

Postgraduates are regarded as the reserve army of scientific researchers of the country and an important new force engaged in scientific research. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the publicity and education of postgraduate academic ethics and study style construction. As the consequence, it could urge postgraduates to strictly abide by academic norms, and create a good environment for academic research.Vice Dean Yingwei Li conducted a profound academic ethics education for 2021 graduate students. He listed a variety of academic misconduct, and emphasized that there are no shortcuts in scientific research, and only solid and hard work can achieve valuable scientific research results.

At the meeting, Deputy Secretary Caigang Liu emphasized the recent key issues of student work.He introduced the anti-fraud knowledge to the students based on specific cases, and reminded the students to install and register the national anti-fraud APP, be vigilant at all times, and improve their ability to distinguish.At the same time, he also emphasized the need to strictly abide by the relevant regulations on epidemic prevention and control, dormitory safety, and the safety of electric vehicles, so as to protect own and others.

A total of more than 400 people of both the 2021 graduate students and research group representatives participated in this event.
