Junichiro Yamaguchi is an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science, Nagoya Univerisity. He earned his PhD degree in Department of Industrial Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering, Tokyo University of Science, Japan. In 2004, he joined the JSPS Research Fellow (DC1), then was exchanged to the Scripps Research Institute. In 2008 received JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow (PD), in Department of Chemistry, Scripps Research Institute. In 2012 he was as a visiting associate professor, in Department of Chemistry, Münster University. His research interests include organic catalysis and total synthesis of natural products. He won Young Scientist’s Research Award in Natural Product Chemistry in 2011, the Chemical Society of Japan Award for Young Chemists in 2013 and Thieme Chemistry Journal Award in 2014.
